We took advantage of the Labour Day holiday long weekend to travel to Perth for a short trip down under!


Here's our itinerary!

Day 1 - Thu (Apr 30)

0930 - Check in Flight
1030 - Early Brunch
1230 - Board Flight TZ 8 to Perth
1725 - Arrive at Perth Airport Terminal 1
1800 - Buy Prepaid Card from Optus
1830 - Board free terminal transfer bus to Terminal 3
1900 - Board Public Bus No 40 to City
1940 - Alight at St Georges Terrace Stand N (After Victoria Av)
1930 - Check-in Mercure Perth
2000 - Dinner
2200 - Back to Hotel

Day 2 - Fri (May 1)

0715 - Rise and shine
0827 - Train from Perth Station to Freemantle Station
0851 - Reach Freemantle Station
0900 - Breakfast
0930 - Rottnest Express to Rottnest Island
1015 - Reach Rottnest Island
1030 - Board Island Explorer Service
1042 - Reach Stop 6 Little Salmon Bay
1128 - Board Bus at Stop 7 Salmon Bay
1150 - Reach Stop 11 West End (Timed stop)
1200 - Lunch
1305 - Board Bus at Stop 11 West End (Timed stop)
1321 - Reach Stop 17 Little Armstrong Bay
1437 - Board Bus at Stop 18 Little Parakeet Bay
1445 - Reach Stop 1 Main Bus Stop
1625 - Rottnest Express to Freemantle
1700 - Explore Freemantle
1800 - Dinner @ Sandrino Cafe
1945 - Train from Freemantle Station to Perth Station
2011 - Reach Perth Station
2030 - Back to Hotel

Day 3 - Sat (May 2)

0630 - Rise and shine
0700 - Breakfast
0730 - Day Trip
    - Visit Caversham Wildlife Park (Swan Valley)
    - Visit the Lobster Shack (Live Lobster processing plant)
1300 - Lunch @ Lobster Shack
   - Visit Pinnacles Desert
   - Visit Lancelin Sand Dunes
1930 - Drop off at Perth City
2000 - Dinner @ Breve Cafe
2100 - Back to Hotel

Day 4 - Sun (May 3)

0630 - Rise and shine
0700 - Breakfast
0730 - Day Trip
   - Visit York Town
   - Visit Dog Cemetery
   - Visit Hippos Yawn
1200 - Buffet Lunch @ Wildflower Shop
    - Visit Wildlife Park or Antique Lace Collection
     - Visit Wave Rock and Gnamma Holes
    - Visit The Humps and Mulka’s Cave
1500 - Afternoon Tea @ Babakin
2030 - Drop off at Perth City
2100 - Dinner @ Corner Cafe
2200 - Back to Hotel


Day 5 - Mon (May 4)

0630 - Rise and shine
0700 - Breakfast
0730 - Visit St Mary Cathedral
1000 - Visit Watertown Outlet Centre
1200 - Lunch
1300 - Shopping @ City
2000 - Dinner
2100 - Back to Hotel

Day 6 - Tue (May 5)

0800 - Rise and shine
0830 - Breakfast
0900 - Visit Bell Tower
1200 - Lunch
1300 - Last Minute shopping
1527 - Board Perth Airport Connect to Airport
1600 - Board free terminal transfer bus to Terminal 1
1615 - Check in Flight
1700 - Early Dinner @ Airport
1835 - Board Flight TZ 7 to Singapore
2345 - Reach Singapore

    I see that you travel to Perth without renting a car. So I suppose you join the full day tour. Can you share which agency do you join and how much did you pay for your day trip to Pinnacles and Wave Rock?

    We did not rent a car for our trip.
    It is definitely possible for our itinerary as we took day trip packages for some of our days.

    Just wondering, did u feel it was very rush to go to rottnest and fremantle on the same day? The fremantle market is open at night also?

    It is ok to do on the same day - but you do need to return from rottnest earlier.

    Freemantle Market Opening Hours are as follows:

    The Yard
    Fridays 8am-8pm
    Sat & Sun 8am-6pm

    The Hall
    Fridays 9am-8pm
    Sat & Sun 9am-6pm
